Dear Ms. Lyles:

I would like to thank The Lion's Den for providing the pastries and cookies for the Pink Pajama Party for our Breast Cancer Awareness Event on Saturday, October 21, 2006. I would like to thank you for helping with the facilition of the event. Also, choosing my personal wardrobe for the recent conferences I had to attend. It has been a pleasure to work with you. You have been a great asset professionally and personally.

As you may know, breast cancer is the most common malignancy, other than skin cancer among women. In fact, 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. African American women are twice as likely to be diagnosed at later stages, have more aggressive forms of breast cancer and have increased mortality rate from the disease.

The Pink Pajama Party aims to educate and empower women about breast cancer, increase the rate of early detection and treatment as well as reduce the number of women who die from the disease.

It has been a pleasure to work with The Lion's Den. I attribute much of the event's success to your hard work, enthusiasm and dedication. I look forward to working with you on future projects. Thank you for joining us in our efforts to improve the lives and health of women in our community.

Sincerely,

Rev. Michelle Meggs
Pink Pajama Party Event Coordinator
